A joint venture between Springdale’s George family and Springdale business owner Joe Ehrhardt is partnering on a 47,900-square-foot Class A office building on the city’s west side.

According to planning documents, the three-story building is planned for a 4.1-acre site near the southwest corner of Gene George Boulevard and Apple Road, north of Arvest Ballpark.

C.L. George and Sons LP, a partnership made up of George’s Inc. chairman Gary George and his sister, Cathy (George) Evans, is the property owner.

Ehrhardt is the founder and chief executive of Springdale financial technology company Teslar Software, a lending process automation platform for community financial institutions. He said the company, which employs approximately 70 people, will occupy the building’s top two floors. The first floor will be available for lease.

“We expect to be at least 100 [employees] by the time we move in,” Ehrhardt said. “We’ve designed it to support more than 100.”

Teslar’s existing headquarters are in leased space at 4700 S. Thompson St.

Ehrhardt said workers will break ground on the project this spring, and the construction timeline will be between 12 and 18 months. Milestone Construction of Springdale is the builder, and BiLD Architects of Fayetteville is the design firm. Ali Karr with Crafton Tull in Rogers is the site engineer. Anstaff Bank in Green Forest is financing the construction.

Springdale city planners rezoned the property for commercial use late last year.
