Tyson Foods is brandishing a new corporate logo that is consistent with the Tyson Foods chicken brand and is a return to the red and yellow scalloped oval with the company name displayed in the middle of the oval.

The logo harkens back to the company’s roots nearly 90 years ago as a chicken business and was unveiled internally on Thursday (Feb. 8) following the company’s shareholder meeting.

“Our new visual identity unifies our history and our future. Almost ninety years ago, Tyson Foods began as a chicken company and today we have evolved into a world-class food company and recognized leader in protein. … Tyson Foods stands shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the best-known brands in the world. We will use our new corporate brand to help us communicate our purpose: Tyson Foods. We feed the world like family,” CEO Donnie King said in a statement. “Family anchors us in our legacy as a company dedicated to bringing high-quality food to every table in the world, safely, sustainably, and affordably, now and for future generations.”

The new corporate image replaces the “T” weathervane inside a circle, a logo adopted in 2017 under the brief leadership of CEO Tom Hayes. Hayes said at the time the weathervane was a farmer’s compass and signaled directions. The “T” monogram signified a crest that illustrated the forward direction to the future while also showing Tyson’s strong family roots, the company said in 2017.

Hayes resigned from Tyson Foods in May 2018 after just 18 months at the helm. In that short time, he changed the company logo and moved the marketing division to Chicago, both of which have been undone by King, now in his third year as CEO.

Previous Tyson corporate logo approved in 2017.

John H. Tyson, chairman of Tyson Foods and grandson of the founder, said during the company’s recent shareholder meeting that the 90th birthday of the company will be a monumental event. He said while Tyson is now much more than a chicken company, at its core, the company is about providing food for the world that is healthy, sustainably made and affordable.

“I can tell you the leadership team is focused, collaborative and efficient and I am looking forward to celebrating Tyson Foods’ 90th anniversary in 2025. We are moving in the right direction and we are fundamentally strong and as prepared for the future as we have been in a while,” Chairman Tyson said at the shareholder meeting.
