Nominations are open for the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s inaugural Northwest Arkansas Outstanding Business Awards.

The awards program includes four categories:

  • Small Business (Less than 100 employees)
  • Large Business (More than 100 employees)
  • Startup (Less than two years in business)
  • Nonprofit

Nominations can be made through Feb. 29 at this link and are open to businesses with operations in Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Madison, Sebastian and Washington counties.

Nominees should be businesses that make outstanding contributions to Northwest Arkansas through high-quality products or services, strong ethical standards, leadership with their employees and clients and within their industry and community involvement.

After the nomination period ends, an independent panel of business leaders will select four finalists in each category. These companies will be highlighted in the April 8 issue of the Business Journal, and the winners will be announced and honored at a luncheon. Event details are still being finalized.

“This event was designed to spotlight extraordinary businesses and the opportunities they create for their employees and customers,” said Rob Gutterridge, publisher of the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal. “We want to promote initiatives being made in our community and encourage development and growth.”

The Northwest Arkansas Outstanding Business Awards are sponsored by Arvest Bank and Rose Law Firm.

“We appreciate our sponsors’ contribution to our passion of heralding business success in Northwest Arkansas and the Fort Smith metro,” Gutterridge said.
