Paragould to host 7th Annual ‘Get Downtown’ Festival
Downtown Paragould is set to host its 7th Annual Get Downtown Festival, a community-wide celebration this weekend.
Sponsored by the Greene County Future Fund and funded in part by the Paragould Advertising and Promotions Commission, the festival will kick off on Friday (Oct. 13).
Festivities will begin with a “Block Party” sponsored by Block Insurance. Main Street Paragould’s final Downtown After Hours of the season will coincide, featuring live entertainment by Cory Jackson at the Community Pavilion.
Southern Bank will screen a family-friendly thriller in the street.
The 13th Annual Pedal the Ridge gravel ride will offer both 50-mile and 20-mile routes. The Get Downtown Races, featuring a 10k, 5k, Kids Fun Run, and Doggie Dash, will be held on Saturday.
Cinnamon Roll bakers will vie for the title of the top Get Downtown Cinnamon Roll.
The Unico Bank Main Stage will be the focal point for entertainment, starting with the Get Downtown Talent Show at 2pm. Two stages will host musical acts throughout the day, with local talents at the First National Bank stage and headlining performances on the Unico Bank Main Stage.
Tyler Kinch, one of Arkansas’ country music stars, will take the stage at 5pm, followed by the festival headliner, Tanner Usrey, at 7pm. He is known for his electrifying live presence and the hit single “The Light.”
