Netzro fills board position with former Tyson Foods CTO
Danyel Bischof-Forsyth of Rogers has accepted a board position with St. Paul, Minn.-based Netzro. The company uses proprietary technology for reducing, recovering and re-harvesting food byproducts into upcycled ingredients considered good for the planet and consumers.
“Their vision is to eliminate food waste and expand the food economy without growing more food,” she said.
Most recently, Bischof-Forsyth was Tyson Foods’ chief technology officer from January to September this year. She joined the company in mid-2018 as a vice president in the IT department and took over as CTO this year after Scott Spradley abruptly left the company.
During a pitch event in July, Netzro was among four national entrepreneurs highlighted by Tyson Ventures, the company’s venture capital arm.
“We have a critical role to play in eliminating food waste while responsibly producing food for a growing world, and the Netzro team is honored to have Danyel join the board. Danyel brings proven technology leadership and I look forward to working with her to build Netzro’s impact data framework as well as our technology strategy,” said Sue Marshall, Netzro’s founder and CEO.
Bischof-Forsyth, who worked nearly 30 years for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, Mo., before working for Tyson Foods, said she has no plans to leave Northwest Arkansas.
