Connections: Forward Arkansas hires Springdale educator

Brittney Hickman of Springdale has joined educational nonprofit Forward Arkansas as a senior operations associate. Hickman has nearly 30 years of education experience. For the past eight years, she was an assistant principal at Helen Tyson Middle School.

Hickman graduated from the University of Arkansas, where she earned her master’s in education administration and bachelor’s in elementary education.

Forward Arkansas was established in 2015 with grants from the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation and Walton Family Foundation with the goal of improving outcomes for all students. It works with districts, schools, educational partners and state leaders.
