J.B. Hunt to give 42-cent quarterly dividend
Lowell-based carrier J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. will pay a 42-cent per share cash dividend on Aug. 18 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 4, according to a Wednesday (July 19) news release. The dividend was flat from the past two quarterly dividends, paid in May and February.
On July 18, J.B. Hunt reported earnings fell by 25.8% to $189.55 million in the second quarter from $255.34 million in the same period last year. Revenue decreased by 18.4% to $3.13 billion from $3.83 billion.
Shares of J.B. Hunt (NASDAQ: JBHT) were trading Wednesday afternoon at $192.71, up $4.54 or 2.41%. In the past 52 weeks, the stock has ranged between $156.28 and $200.64.
