Connections: Black Hills promotes Msall to Arkansas GM

South Dakota-based Black Hills Energy promoted Joey Msall of Rogers from director of operations to general manager of the company’s Arkansas operations.

Before joining Black Hills in 2021, Msall held several leadership positions at CenterPoint Energy in northeast and central Arkansas.

Black Hills also appointed Marc Eyre to vice president of operations in Arkansas. He has more than 15 years of utility experience. Most recently, he was Black Hills’ vice president of electric operations in South Dakota for the past five years.

Eyre relocated to the company’s Fayetteville office and started his new job on July 10. He’s replacing Chad Kinsley, who accepted a job as chief executive officer/general manager of the Southeastern Electric Cooperative Inc. in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Black Hills has over 480 Arkansas employees. The company estimates it made a $120 million economic impact in Arkansas in 2022 through its payroll, charitable contributions, payments to suppliers and taxes paid.
