The Arkansas Children’s Northwest (ACNW) Auxiliary raised $320,033 for the hospital in its inaugural year of fundraising. ACNW said the newly formed 134-member volunteer organization supports patients and families through fundraising events such as the annual radiothon.

Auxiliary president Erin Johnson praised the continued support from around the region.

“Thank you for your determination, for going above and beyond, and for your desire to help those who need our help the most,” Johnson said. “Your support has made a significant impact on the lives of countless children and their families.”

Arkansas Children’s Northwest has its own board and fundraising arm that is separate from the flagship hospital in Little Rock. The hospital located in Springdale offers level IV pediatric trauma center and it operates a 24-bed inpatient unit with a surgical unit with five operating rooms. The specialty children’s care in the region includes more than 20 subspecialties, the release states.

“You are helping us invite the greatest number of people to experience, understand and share in Arkansas Children’s mission at the highest level,” said Fred Scarborough, executive vice president and chief communications and development officer for Arkansas Children’s.
