Oklahoma-based Grand Savings Bank (GSB) announced Monday (Jan. 9) the election of Tommy Coughlin of Bentonville to its board of directors. He replaces Lendell Bass, who is retiring from the 10-member board.

Coughlin has worked in the banking industry for nearly 20 years and is GSB’s market president in Bentonville/Rogers. GSB maintains headquarters in Grove, Okla., but operates 10 of its 13 branches in Northwest Arkansas and the Fort Smith metro. Most members of the company’s leadership team are based in Benton County, including board chairman Tony Steele and vice chairman Tyler Steele, his son.

Bass joined the GSB board in 1994, the same year he became a loan officer for the bank. He retired in 2016 but remained a board member until now.

According to the latest data available from the FDIC, Grand Savings Bank had $833.5 million in assets as of Sept. 30.
