Rogers-Lowell chamber continues ‘Spotlight Series’ with June 21 program focusing on DEI
The Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce will host an event Tuesday (June 21) at the Supply Chain Hall of Fame inside the Northgate office building on West J.B. Hunt Drive in Rogers.
The discussion is part of the chamber’s Spotlight Series, a quarterly gathering with a different theme for each event. It aims to bring together community leaders to spark innovation, inspire ideas and align the community around common goals.
Tuesday’s program is from 2-4 p.m. It will focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in the workplace and effective ways to leverage DEI as a method of workforce development, retention and recruitment.
“Generation Z and Millennials are quickly becoming the largest workforce segments in America and these generations prioritize companies that have DEI as core values when looking for employment and careers,” said Ross Phillips, the chamber’s senior vice president for community development. “We are working to stay ahead of this and raise awareness of the importance with the business community.”
Participants in the program include Whitney Yoder, public affairs manager for Cox Communications in Springdale and market lead for Cox’s inclusion, diversity and equity council. She’ll be joined by Cox colleagues Reggie Ellis and Kait Foster.
Registration is required. Tickets are available for $15 and can be purchased at this link.
