Sunstar Insurance Group, LLC has merged with Evins Insurance Group of Jonesboro for their ninth expansion in five years. Terms of the merger were not disclosed. Evins Insurance, founded by Chris Evins has operated in Northeast Arkansas for about a decade.

“I am thrilled to join forces with my long-time friend and Arkansas industry veteran, Drew Nadzam, and our new star agent, Chris Evins,” Sunstar-Arkansas CEO Andrew “A.B.” Meadors said. “If there is a better property and casualty producer in that part of the state, I’d like to meet them. It’s a new day at Sunstar Insurance – Jonesboro.”

“Combining our group with the Sunstar team in Jonesboro and Mark Miller Insurance in Paragould creates one of the biggest agencies in Northeast Arkansas,” added Evins.

“This partnership is a win-win-win for all involved,” Nadzam said. “I’m excited to be on the same team as my old friend, Andrew.”

Sunstar-Arkansas now has a roster of 94 employees working from twelve locations across Arkansas. Sunstar Insurance Group, based in Memphis, was founded in 2012 by Chairman and CEO David “Casey” Bowlin and has grown to become the 32nd largest property and casualty insurance agency in the U.S. as ranked by the industry trade magazine, Insurance Journal.
