Southern Pharmacy in Jonesboro to build new location
Southern Pharmacy, which has branches throughout Northeast Arkansas, will build a new brick-and-mortar store in Jonesboro, according to Haag Brown Medical Holdings. Work on the new store, which will be located at the confluence of Apache Drive, the I-555 exit and Red Wolf Boulevard is slated to begin soon.
Terms of the deal were not released. Kyle and Kass Lomax own five locations in Northeast Arkansas that include Jonesboro, Leachville, Lepanto, Marked Tree, and Monette.
“We are so excited to be able to better serve our customers out of this larger, updated facility,” Kyle Lomax said.
The new store is set to mimic the atmosphere of a coffee shop. The development will transform the health care experience by introducing a modern, free-standing drive-through pharmacy.
“This type of new construction is a rare concept, especially for a locally-owned business. Kyle and Kass are an incredible team with a great team around them. And this is going to be a really cool and extremely customer-friendly pharmacy. We’ve designed the site with the same elements you find in a modern drive-thru coffee shop, which is really good at getting customers in and out,” said Joshua Brown, Haag Brown Medical Holdings principal.
Apache Drive has several other healthcare professional service-oriented businesses including ArKids Pediatric Day Center, Arkansas Continued Care Hospital, Apache Drive Children’s Clinic, NEA Baptist Dialysis Clinic, and St. Elizabeth’s Place.
Southern Pharmacy is also home to the Southern Care Pack packaging program, is a partner for Ideal Protein Wellness, and also offers services including the Styku 3D Body Scanner, free delivery, vaccinations, and mobile vaccine clinics.
