After 20 years with the company, Jim King is retiring as president and CEO of Arvest Wealth Management (AWM).

Headquartered in Lowell, AWM is the wealth management division that is owned by Walton family-owned Arvest Bank of Fayetteville.

King’s retirement is set for the first quarter of 2023. He joined AWM in 2002 and worked in multiple roles before the company appointed him chief executive in March 2011.

Since then, AWM grew total assets under management from $6 billion (year-end 2011) to $15.9 billion (year-end 2021) and total revenue has increased from $42.4 million in 2011 to $87.7 million in 2021.

AWM has approximately 360 employees who offer advice to customers in three lines of business: Arvest Investments Inc. (registered FINRA and SEC broker/dealer), Arvest Trust Division and Arvest Insurance Co.

An Arvest Bank spokesman said the search for King’s replacement is under way, and King will assist in the transition. The company will make a public announcement when a successor is named.
