Sally Gilbert, long-time Mountain Home resident and banking veteran, has joined Farmers & Merchants Bank as the new market president for Mountain Home and surrounding communities. Gilbert will lead Farmers and Merchants Bank operations in the region.

“This bank has an incredible history of service and personal relationships in our community, and I couldn’t be more honored to have the opportunity to lead the bank into our next chapter of support for our customers as they work to achieve their goals,” Gilbert said. “There are so many great things on the horizon, both for the bank and those we serve, and I’m truly excited to bring them all here to the Mountain Home community.”

With more than 25 years of community banking experience and deep roots in the Mountain Home community, Gilbert most recently served as Mountain Home Community Bank President for Arvest Bank, and before that worked with Centennial Bank as Senior Vice President of Business Development.

“Sally’s integrity, experience and overwhelming sense of professionalism in every engagement easily made this the right decision for both Farmers and Merchants and those we serve in this community,” said Farmers and Merchants Bank President and CEO Brad Chambless. “No one knows how to better serve our customers in Mountain Home and our surrounding bank branches than Sally Gilbert, and it will be an honor to work with her as we continue to build on our commitment to this community for years to come.”

Gilbert serves on the Board of Directors for Baxter Regional Medical Center and is a member of the Mountain Home Rotary Club. She earned her degree from Missouri State University.

Farmers and Merchants Bank, headquartered in Stuttgart, is a locally-owned community bank with 26 locations across the state of Arkansas, including eight operating as the Bank of Fayetteville.
