Business owner Kyle Jones of Lowell has purchased Service Plus Telecommunications of Russellville. The deal closed on Sept. 15. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Jones has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications business and owns Facilicom Inc., a Lowell hardware, software, and services business. The company has customers in Northwest Arkansas and the Dallas/Fort Worth metro in the healthcare and assisted living industries.

Jones is president of Service Plus. Kenny Biggs, the previous owner, is the general manager. The company will remain in Russellville, and no changes are expected for its seven employees.

“Service Plus has successfully operated for more than 25 years, so I see no need to make major changes in personnel,” Jones said. “Customers will continue to work with the same great people and services that have made the company the standout it is today.”

Service Plus offers telecommunications, networking, structured cabling, and fire, security, and surveillance services for customers across the financial, education, government, and healthcare industries.

Jones said one of his priorities as the new owner is to expand into additional markets and provide even more offerings to clients across the state.

Jones started Facilicom in 2012 in Dallas and is the sole employee. The company subcontracts installation and service work and brokers phone and internet services for companies.

“Similar to an insurance or mortgage broker, we shop the best products and pricing depending on the particular needs and act as the sales arm for those carriers,” he said.
