Rogers-chartered Generations Bank recently recognized chief financial officer Sandy Ferguson for her 40-year work anniversary. Ferguson is the bank’s longest serving full-time employee.

Ferguson started her career as a teller and has worked in every department. When she started in 1981, the bank had $25 million in assets. The lender now has $660 million in assets.

Established in 1907, Generations Bank relocated its Harrell Bancshares Inc. charter from south Arkansas to Rogers in the spring of 2019. The bank rebranded from First Bank in 2016, a reflection of its long history under the Harrell family’s leadership.

“Sandy is the most knowledgeable community banker that I have had the privilege to work alongside,” said Jon Harrell, the bank’s CEO and board chairman. “Sandy embodies the core values that have helped Generations Bank to be a community leader for 114 years and counting. Sandy serves as a role model to all employees as she showcases our four core values of accountability, relationships, communication and stewardship daily.”
