Harvest Group acquires TreeHouse Sales & Solutions
Omnichannel retail agency Harvest Group in Rogers has acquired a competing firm in Rogers, TreeHouse Sales & Solutions. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Paul Olinger, a Walmart and Sam’s Club buyer for 20 years, founded TreeHouse in 2006 with his wife Shana. The business name refers to the company’s first office — the Olinger’s unfinished garage apartment, or “treehouse.”
According to a Harvest Group blog post, TreeHouse specializes in Walmart and Sam’s Club branded and private label retail consultation and representation. Harvest Group founder and CEO Ross Cully said the expansion extends Harvest Group’s category reach into new general merchandise departments and strengthens its capability and penetration in grocery.
“We are humbled and excited to welcome the TreeHouse team and their clients to the Harvest Group family,” Cully said in a statement. “Paul and his team have built a great company that is known in the industry for their experience and expertise. We are confident that we will deliver better service for our retail customers and client partners by joining together.
“Adding TreeHouse to our company, being named a Walmart Advertising Partner, and launching our Minneapolis office are all exciting steps we took in the first quarter on our journey to build the leading omnichannel growth agency in the industry.”
Cully declined to disclose Harvest Group’s employee numbers following the acquisition. He did disclose that many TreeHouse employees are former Walmart buyers and replenishment experts with over 30 years working at or with Walmart.
Paul Olinger will continue to lead the team that was previously TreeHouse Sales & Solutions as executive vice president, reporting to Cully.
