Armor Bank has hired Sue Colinger as Marianna market president.

This comes after the bank’s announcement last fall regarding its acquisition of the Marianna branch of Farmers and Merchants Bank. That transaction is scheduled to close on February 19.

“Armor Bank started in east Arkansas. This region has cultivated a strong foundation for us and has always been home for Sue. This is a perfect illustration of our grassroots, relationship based approach as we expand the roots we have in east Arkansas,” said Chad May, Armor Bank CEO. “Sue brings an unparalleled amount of experience to our team that will add substantial value to our customers and the service we provide them.”

Colinger, a Lee County native, joins Armor with over 40 years of banking experience in Marianna. Sue and her husband Jerry also reside in the county seat.

“I have always chosen to stay here because I love this community,” Colinger said. “This opportunity is a blessing that allows me to serve people by providing help and assistance they are often unaware of. I look forward to helping our customers through the transition while providing easily accessible service. I’m always on call and most of my customers have my cell phone number. That, to me, is community banking.”

Armor Bank has also expanded the Marianna team by hiring Kayla Jones as a personal banking specialist. Prior to joining Armor Bank, Kayla spent seven years in banking, also in Lee County. Kayla and her husband, Eric, reside in Marianna with their two children.

“Joining Armor Bank gives me the chance to grow professionally while investing in my hometown community,” said Jones. “This role at Armor Bank enables me to develop personal relationships and help ensure a positive experience for each individual customer.”
