Northwest Arkansas insurance firm grows with first acquisition
G&G Independent Insurance, with offices in Fayetteville and Bentonville, has acquired Little Rock-based agency Arkansas Insurance Advisors (AIA). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The two sides completed the sale Sept. 25. As part of the deal, AIA employees will join G&G’s operations and continue to work at the Little Rock location.
“I would not have made this decision if I didn’t think it was the best decision for our employees, business partners and clients,” AIA founder Elliott Carr said. “I look forward to seeing G&G continue to support our customers in many of the areas where G&G possesses a distinctive capability and expertise.”
After the transition is completed, Carr will pursue a new venture outside of the insurance industry, said Maggie Fancher, marketing coordinator for G&G.
“We are so excited to welcome AIA to our team as we continue to grow and expand our locations into the central Arkansas region,” G&G CEO Jordan Greer said. “We believe the combination of our existing team in Northwest Arkansas and the AIA team will provide great opportunities for our clients and for AIA. Growing up in central Arkansas, it feels like coming home.”
Five full-time employees joined G&G in the acquisition, which is the first for G&G but likely not the last.
“We are seeking opportunities with agency owners with a focus on the personal lines insurance market who are looking to exit the industry and are committed to providing an exceptional experience for their clients and employees moving forward,” Fancher said.
AIA was founded in 2015, and its office will be the company’s third location. The brand is expected to transition to G&G over time, Fancher said.
Jordan and Corie Greer founded G&G in April 2014, and it has 27 employees. G&G offers auto, home, motorcycle, flood, life and commercial coverage.
