A new app unveiled on Thursday (Sept. 24) will allow Arkansans to play lottery games and collect prizes on their smartphones. The move is a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has raised safety concerns for purchasing lottery tickets in person.

Jackpocket is the name of the app and it allows players in Arkansas to order tickets for Mega Millions, Powerball, Lucky for Life, Cash 3, Cash 4, and Natural State Jackpot. Arkansas is Jackpocket’s ninth state launch following Colorado, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Ohio, Texas, and Washington, D.C.

In addition to convenience, the Jackpocket app provides a new way to play the lottery through features that include:

  • Jackpocket Pools – Players can create lottery pools with friends and family or join lottery pools with thousands of other Jackpocket players across multiple jurisdictions in Colorado, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Oregon, Ohio, Texas, and Washington, D.C.
  • Autoplay – Players can create “Autoplays” to automatically enter drawings for the lottery games of their choice.
  • Responsible Gaming – Consumer protections like daily deposit and spend limits, self-exclusion, and in-app access to problem gambling resources ensure responsible play.

Jackpocket is available through the Winners Corner retail location in Little Rock.

The app can be downloaded on iOS or Android phones at jackpocket.com. Arkansans can use the promo code “HELLOAR” for $2 free ticket credit upon funding their account.

“Jackpocket gives players a safe, convenient option for playing the lottery games they know and love from home,” said Jackpocket Founder and CEO Peter Sullivan. “Launching in Arkansas was a natural fit, and we look forward to helping the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery drive additional revenue supporting college scholarships.”
