2020 marks the 24th year for the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s Forty Under 40. It’s safe to say this class will be one we won’t soon forget.

That is due mainly to COVID-19. The health crisis’ impact has been massive, and our news coverage for the past five months has reflected that.

Is that right? Has it only been five months?

In any event, it is especially meaningful for our staff to deliver this “good news” edition of the Business Journal that includes the 2020 Forty Under 40 class. As usual, the honorees come from various industries and all corners of our six-county coverage area. The process of putting this issue together was different than in past years. Of course, our 40 honorees adjusted right along with us, and we appreciate their cooperation each step of the way.

Unfortunately, because of social distancing guidelines, we will not hold a public event this year to formally recognize the 2020 class. We look forward to its return in 2021.

Nominations are always open for the Forty Under 40 awards. Have someone in mind for the Class of 2021? Someone who is making a difference in Northwest Arkansas on the job and in the community? You can fill out an online nomination form at nwabusinessjournal.com.
