NEA Baptist appoints Melanie Edens as COO
NEA Baptist Health System has a new COO.
Melanie Edens has accepted the role of Chief Operating Officer for the healthcare system. Formerly an associate administrator, Edens has served in various positions at NEA Baptist throughout her 20-year tenure.
She holds a bachelor’s of science in radiologic sciences, and an M.B.A. from Arkansas State University. She has been recognized as an Outstanding Alumnus of ASU’s College of Nursing and Health Related professions as well as the ACHE’s Early Career Award for Healthcare Executives.
In her new role, Edens will oversee all operations at NEA Baptist Clinic in addition to a wide range of hospital departments. Edens has worked for the company since 1998. She served as associate administrator for former NEA Baptist CEO Brad Parsons.
