High-end Hilton brand coming to Pinnacle Hills in Rogers
A hotel in Rogers’ booming Pinnacle Hills area will be the second Tapestry Collection by Hilton location in Arkansas.
That is the upscale hotel brand chosen by the developers of Pinnacle Heights, a $100 million mixed-use project west of Interstate 49. The design is a joint venture between Cushman & Wakefield/Sage Partners and Hunt Ventures of Rogers and Urban5 Partners of Oklahoma.
Construction of the first phase at the 15-acre development started about a year ago. It is situated at the northwest corner of the roundabout on Pauline Whitaker Parkway, near the main gated entrance of Pinnacle Country Club. In addition to the hotel, the first phase of Pinnacle Heights includes 295 multifamily units including 12 live-work units, 30,500 square feet of retail space and numerous restaurants. Phase I is expected to be complete in the third quarter of 2021.
A pair of Little Rock companies are behind the hotel development. Huffman & Co., a general contractor and developer, and Makan Hospitality Management, are under contract to buy a 1.29-acre parcel from Pinnacle Heights developers. They will be co-owners of the hotel property.
The Rogers Planning Commission approved a rezoning for the property Jan. 7 to the uptown core mixed-use zoning district. The land sale should close in February. Construction of the 141-room property should begin this summer.
The Tapestry Collection by Hilton was introduced in January 2017. Its website lists 33 U.S. locations, one of which is in Little Rock, The Burgundy Hotel. Huffman and Makan partnered to renovate a former Best Western property into The Burgundy, an all-suite property that includes 43 suites and six two-room presidential suites. It also features the upscale Table 28 restaurant.
