CBER to release 8th State of the Northwest Arkansas Region Report
The eighth annual State of the Northwest Arkansas Region Report will be presented Nov. 5 at a luncheon at the Northwest Arkansas Board of Realtors Event Center at 314 N. Goad Springs Road in Lowell.
The report will be released by the Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas and in collaboration with the Northwest Arkansas Council.
Speakers will include CBER director Mervin Jebaraj and Greg Pogue of the IC2 Institute, which is a ‘think-and-do tank’ at the University of Texas that explores factors that promote economic development and creates programs to promote good business practices worldwide, according to a news release. Pogue and his team at the IC2 Institute spent more than a year studying entrepreneurship in Northwest Arkansas. At the luncheon, he will share his report: Innovate Again, Innovate Here. Pogue’s Northwest Arkansas research and assessment were paid for by the Walton Family Foundation.
Jebaraj will discuss the economic highlights in the State of the Northwest Arkansas Region Report and economic data and statistics from CBER’s Quarterly Business Analysis. The report is viewed as one of the best measures of performances compared to peer regions such as Madison, Wis.; Raleigh, N.C.; Provo, Utah; Des Moines, Iowa; and Austin, Texas, the news release shows.
The lunch begins at 11:30 a.m., with networking starting at 10:45 a.m. The cost to attend the luncheon is $45. Registration is required. Link here for reservations or call 479-575-4151. The deadline to register is Nov. 1.
