Bentonville firm Shine Solar expands service offerings with acquisition of Palmer HVAC
Solar power company Shine Solar of Bentonville recently announced it has acquired Palmer HVAC of Springdale, and the name of the heating and cooling company has been changed to Shine Air.
Shine Solar acquired Palmer HVAC’s assets, employees and customer contracts. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Palmer’s 12 employees joined Shine Solar as a result of the Feb. 4 deal, and the company now has more than 100 employees.
“By adding heating and air services to our product lineup, we’ll be better able to serve our customers,” said Nick Gorden, CEO at Shine Solar. “For most homeowners, the heating and cooling of their home is the most expensive component of their electric bill. Through new and improved technology, we’ll be able to help our customers save even more money in the coming years.”
Palmer HVAC has served Northwest Arkansas for more than 10 years and has provided service for residential and commercial heating and cooling equipment, commercial refrigeration, and commercial cooking equipment. Adam Palmer will continue to run the company as vice president of Shine Air.
“Merging two energy-efficient companies with the same goal will allow us to better serve our customers’ HVAC and solar needs,” Palmer said. “Now that’s awesome. But the best part is seeing the satisfaction on the faces of our customers when the heating and cooling comes on because their home or business is more comfortable and their utility bills are smaller than ever.”
Since Shine Solar was founded in 2016, it has doubled in size annually in revenue and company growth. The company has installed solar panels on more than 1,500 homes in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas.
