Dave Wilgus appointed CEO of Harrison French & Associates (HFA)
Bentonville-based Harrison French & Associates (HFA), the largest architectural and engineering firm in Northwest Arkansas, announced Wednesday (April 24) the promotion of principal Dave Wilgus as the company’s new CEO, effective May 1.
Company founder Harrison French, who started the business in 1990, will assume the role of chairman.
“I never could have imagined that HFA would have matured into the firm it is today,” French said in a company news release announcing the transition. “I have had a rewarding experience as CEO, but we are looking to the future. We recognize that a change in leadership will make us even more effective with the strategic growth plan that we are in the process of launching for 2020 and the future.”
Wilgus, who has been with the company for nearly 19 years and was previously vice president of architecture, said he can’t imagine filling French’s shoes but he is honored to have been selected to continue his legacy.
“It has been a privilege to work under Harrison’s leadership,” Wilgus said. “He has set great examples for us to follow into the future. Harrison is deeply committed to caring for our people’s livelihood and providing them opportunities. Harrison’s formula for success is simple — provide quality drawings and service to our clients.”
The company also said Ryan Ray, vice president of engineering, has been promoted to chief operations officer, also effective May 1.
In addition, HFA President Larry Lott will add the title of chief innovations officer. Company vice presidents Chris Horton and Lou Allevato will continue to serve on the HFA board of directors.
HFA has about 230 employees and works throughout the U.S. with retail, real estate development, office, industrial, fueling, restaurant, and education clients. The firm also has offices in Boston, Mass., Fort Worth, Texas, and Mexico City.
