Missouri-Based engineering firm opens office in Rogers
A Springfield, Mo.-based engineering firm has — for the second time — opened an office in Arkansas.
Anderson Engineering Inc. is under contract to purchase a 4,764-square-foot building at 5311 W. Village Parkway in the Village on the Creeks development near Interstate 49 in Rogers. Anderson is already leasing the space and should take ownership by the end of February. The current owner is Dr. Jeffrey Tate, who retired last fall.
The new office already has four full-time employees, and that number should reach 12 by the end of the year, according to vice president Jerrod Hogan.
“We expect in three to five years we’ll have between 30 and 40 people in that office,” Hogan said.
Hogan said the firm had an office in Bentonville several years ago that closed at the height of the recession.
“We’ve still done a lot of work in Northwest Arkansas since then but didn’t justify having an office there,” he said. “We’ve been looking for the right time to get back in the area, and now is the right time.”
Anderson Engineering is a comprehensive consulting firm offering civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, land surveying, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) services, construction materials testing and drilling services. It’s an employee-owned business and has about 100 employees in nine offices, Hogan said. Seven of the offices are in Missouri. Another is in Destin, Fla. The company has several national clients and is licensed in 43 states.
Hogan declined to discuss revenue figures for the company.
