Car-Mart opens 142nd dealership, to release 3Q earnings Feb. 19
America’s Car-Mart has opened three new dealerships in fiscal 2018, which ends April 30, and will announce third-quarter financial results on Feb. 19. The Bentonville-based buy here, pay here used car dealer made the announcement Tuesday (Jan. 30) as it opened its 142nd dealership in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
It’s the second dealership in Bowling Green and the 12th one in Kentucky. Jesse Robb will manage the new dealership.
Jeff Williams, president and CEO of Car-Mart, previously said he planned to focus on company growth as it had closed eight dealerships in the past year. Historically, the company had opened 10 to 12 dealerships annually. The company is working to train staff to become managers, and will look to some managers to operate multiple dealerships.
On Nov. 20, the company opened its 141st dealership in Centerton.
Car-Mart will release financial results for the third quarter, which ends Jan. 31, after the market closes Feb. 19. Company executives will host a conference call on the results at 10 a.m. Feb. 20.
Shares of Car-Mart (NASDAQ: CRMT) closed at $45.60, down 25 cents or 0.55% on Tuesday. In the past 52 weeks, the stock has ranged between $49.40 and $30.20.
