The Preacher’s Son in downtown Bentonville starts lunch service Aug. 21
Downtown Bentonville restaurant The Preacher’s Son, the upscale dining venue operated by Walton-backed Ropeswing Hospitality Group, will start serving lunch beginning Monday, Aug. 21.
The restaurant at 201 N.W. A St. opened last year in a renovated 20th century church with dinner service only. Lunch hours will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. The restaurant’s dinner service remains unchanged from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Just like at dinner, Chef Matthew Cooper and staff will offer a seasonal lunch menu featuring fresh, local food. All menu items will be gluten-free. Additionally, the restaurant will be partnering with local chocolate maker Hello Cocoa for a gluten-free chocolate tart that will be available on the lunch menu.
The building also houses another Ropeswing concept called Undercroft, a bar and lounge beneath the restaurant where Millennials can indulge their taste for custom cocktails and late-night socializing. It’s open from 5 p.m. until 2 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
“As with the Undercroft and the newly opened rooftop deck, we are excited to offer another great way for customers to experience The Preacher’s Son,” Ropeswing officials said in a statement.
Tom Walton, grandson of Wal-Mart Stores founder Sam and Helen Walton, is the managing principal of Ropeswing.
