Tacos 4 Life adding Springdale location in 2017
Tacos 4 Life Grill of Conway will open a restaurant on West Sunset Avenue in Springdale this fall, the founder said.
It’s the third corporate location planned for 2017 for the statewide chain.
The other two are in central Arkansas. Little Rock Tacos 4 Life at the Shackleford Crossing shopping center off Shackleford Road is scheduled to open March 1, and a Benton location is planned to open in April on Alcoa Road.
The Springdale Tacos 4 Life will be the second Northwest Arkansas location for the fast-casual Mexican restaurant, which donates 22 cents from every meal sold to Feed My Starving Children, a Christian faith-based nonprofit that provides food for underprivileged children from throughout the world. It opened on College Avenue in Fayetteville in 2015.
The company has donated 2.2 million meals since it opened in June 2014, according to a Tacos 4 Life press release.
Tacos 4 Life plans to break ground in the spring. The restaurant will be part of a 9,900-square-foot retail center between Buffalo Wild Wings and the soon-to-open Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers location on Sunset, also Highway 412, according to Tacos 4 Life.
Haag Brown Commercial is developing the property, purchased through a Jonesboro-based company, JRN Investments LLC, for $1.1 million on Dec. 27.
Tacos 4 Life founder Austin Samuelson said there might be additional openings within Arkansas announced later in the year, particularly in the northwestern part of the state. “We love Northwest Arkansas, Samuelson said. “We see more potential there, beyond Springdale.”
The confirmed locations will make for a total of six Tacos 4 Life restaurants in Arkansas.
There are two locations in Conway.
