Youth entrepreneurship programs garner AT&T support
AT&T recently donated $25,000 to Community Venture Foundation in order to help fund its entrepreneurship programs for high school students.
The funding will help to engage 130 students across Northwest Arkansas through two youth programs: Arkansas Girls Code and E-Teen Ventures.
“Today’s teens are the entrepreneurs of tomorrow,” Cathy Foraker, director of external affairs for AT&T in Northwest Arkansas said, according to a Community Venture Foundation press release. “We are proud to help support organizations that arm our future business leaders and innovators with the technical and leadership skills that 21st-century jobs demand.”
Community Venture Foundation is a Fayetteville-based nonprofit focused on offering services and education related to entrepreneurship, in an effort to build social and economic empowerment, according to its website.
“We are honored to have AT&T’s support of our mission and our programs. This funding will allow us to reach more students and increase our impact in the region,” Executive Director Jessica Boyd said in the press release.
The foundation plans to conduct five Arkansas Girls Code workshops before next August and two E-Teen Ventures camps next summer.
