Bank of the Ozarks opens new office in Springdale
Little Rock-based Bank of the Ozarks has opened a new full-service branch in Springdale, a 3,671-square foot location at 2773 W. Sunset Ave.
Bank of the Ozarks now has two locations in Springdale and a combined 13 in Benton and Washington counties. The lender also opened new locations in Fayetteville and Siloam Springs this year.
Only Arvest Bank of Fayetteville (49) and First Security Bank (18) of Searcy have more retail bank outlets in the two-county area, according to the FDIC.
“We are pleased to continue our expansion in Northwest Arkansas, particularly in Springdale at this highly traveled and central location to both residential and business areas of town,” Ross Mallioux, president of the bank’s Northwest Arkansas division, said in a news release. “This office and our new offices in Siloam Springs and Fayetteville provide our style of friendly, professional community banking in all of the major cities of Washington and Benton counties. We’re excited to continue to grow with Northwest Arkansas.”
Becky Vitro is the branch manager of the Sunset Avenue location.
As of June 30, according to the FDIC, Bank of the Ozarks’ deposits in Arkansas totaled $5.41 billion in its 81 locations, equal to 8.91% of the statewide market share.
That trails only Fayetteville-chartered Arvest Bank, which reported $7.67 billion in its 117 offices, for 12.63% of the statewide market share.
