Arkansas State University chancellor resigns, search on for a new chancellor
Dr. Tim Hudson, who has served as the Arkansas State University chancellor since 2012, resigned from his post Tuesday evening, according to information released by the school.
ASU President Dr. Chuck Welch appointed ASU provost and vice-chancellor for affairs Lynita Cooksey as the interim chancellor.
Hudson had been under fire after concerns were raised about his wife, Deidra Hudson’s, involvement in the school’s study abroad program. She has since resigned her position with the study abroad program amid and internal audit by ASU. School officials remained mum as to if the resignation was related to the audit investigation.
“I want to thank Dr. Tim Hudson for his service to Arkansas State University. A-State experienced many significant milestones during his tenure,” Welch said.
Hudson also resigned his post as a business college professor.
