Arkansas health centers receive $1.1 million in DHHS grants
Twelve Arkansas health centers are receiving a total of $1,233,356 in grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration program.
The Quality Improvement Awards are designed to expand quality improvement systems and improve primary care delivery. Funding comes from the Affordable Care Act’s Community Health Center (CHC) Fund.
Grants were given to recognize success in seven categories: using electronic health records, improving clinical quality, improving health center quality, exceeding national clinical quality benchmarks, increasing patients, delivering cost-efficient care while improving care, achieving patient-centered medical home recognition, and advancing health equity.

More than $100 million was awarded to 1,304 health centers in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and seven territories.
