Jonathan Blitz named Sprint president for South Central Region

Jonathan Blitz has been named Sprint president of the South Central Region. Based in Little Rock, he will be responsible for sales strategy, network oversight, customer service, marketing communications and general operations supporting the full portfolio of Sprint products and services from enterprise to consumer in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Oklahoma, according to a company press release.

Blitz will report to Jaime Jones, president of the South Area.

Blitz will lead the South Central Region in one of the four geographic areas – West, Central, Northeast and South – Sprint created when it reorganized to devote targeted resources to 18 top regions.

“Our regional structure helps us compete more effectively in the South by better connecting with our customers where they live and work. Jon’s depth of experience in area positions, as well as his strong leadership in sales will help us realize our ambitions for growth and success in the region,” said Jones.

Prior to joining Sprint, Blitz worked at Verizon since 1993, serving in a variety of leadership roles in sales, marketing and operations. He has experience as the Director of Sales for all channels of distribution most recently as the Director of Business for Verizon in for the South Central Region.
