ABF Logistics moves up in freight brokerage firm ranking
ABF Logistics, a division of Fort Smith-based ArcBest Corp., has been recognized by Transport Topics on the Top Freight Brokerage Firms of 2016 list. ABF Logistics is ranked No. 21 among the Top Freight Brokerage Firms, moving up from No. 30 in 2015.
Companies on the list are ranked based on net revenue for the most recent calendar year.
“We’re pleased that ABF Logistics is among the Top Freight Brokerage Firms of 2016 and to have moved up the list,” ABF Logistics President Jim Ingram said in a statement. “We are responsive to what customers tell us they want, and our collaboration across the ArcBest enterprise has produced many satisfied customers. We meet demand by covering all of a customer’s needs in one place with inclusive shipping and moving services, utilizing ground, air and ocean channels.”
ABF Logistics has experienced rapid growth since it was formed in 2013, acquiring Smart Lines Transportation Group in January 2015 and Bear Transportation Services in December 2015. Transport Topics has covered news in the freight transportation and trucking industry for 80 years.
ArcBest (NASDAQ: ARCB) is set to post first quarter 2016 financials on April 29. The company’s primary subsidiary is ABF Freight, one of the nation’s largest less-than-truckload carriers.
