Ozarks Electric reaches five years without a lost workday incident
Ozarks Electric Cooperative has reached five years without a lost workday accident. The milestone equates to more than 1.8 million working hours for a company that logs more than one million miles on the road each year.
The electric utility industry is also ranked in the top 10 among the most hazardous occupations in the country.
“In an industry that requires a strong dedication to safety, we are extremely proud to reach this incredible milestone,” said Mitchell Johnson, president/CEO of Ozarks Electric. “This momentous occasion is indicative of the culture of safety our employees create and foster on a daily basis. It’s that kind of dedication and focus that allows all of us to return home to our families, safe and sound, each and every night.”
Ozarks Electric, incorporated in 1938, is a member-owned electric cooperative, serving more than 70,000 meters across nine counties in Northwest Arkansas and Northeast Oklahoma.
