Grammy winner Chris Stapleton to headline at Riverfest 2016
Grammy Award winner Chris Stapleton will bring his popular brand of country music to central Arkansas in June to be a top headliner for the 39th annual Riverfest in Little Rock.
For the eighth consecutive year, Verizon and Nokia will serve as presenting sponsors for Riverfest 2016, which is billed as Arkansas’s largest and most popular music, arts and food festival.
The Riverfest dates are June 3-5. Riverfest will celebrate its 39th anniversary, and for the first time will be held in June, moving off the traditional Memorial Day weekend.
“We do not take for granted Verizon’s and Nokia’s commitment to Riverfest as presenting sponsors from year to year,” DeAnna Korte, Riverfest executive director, said in a statement. “We are tremendously grateful for the support of sponsors like Verizon and Nokia, which makes a celebration like this so successful. Beyond their financial contribution, they also spend countless hours as volunteers throughout the festival weekend, which also enables us to offer the festival at a fraction of the cost of other events.”
Other top sponsors include Arvest Bank, Deltic Timber, and First Security Bank.
Riverfest 2016 will kick off with a wine and craft beer event on Friday and will also feature music and activities in Julius Breckling Riverfront Park, Clinton Center Park and the downtown River Market District in Little Rock on Saturday and Sunday.
The weekend pass ticket price begins at $37.50, with a VIP weekend pass starting at $500. Link here for ticket information.
