Eddie Glover elected president of Arkansas Pharmacists Association
Eddie Glover, a Conway pharmacist, was installed as president of the Arkansas Pharmacists Association (APA) at its spring board of directors meeting held March 13 in Little Rock.
Glover is CEO of U.S. Compounding in Conway. He is also co-owner and partner of Marshall Medical Pharmacy in Marshall, American Home Pharmacy in Clinton, Food Giant Pharmacy in Harrisburg, as well as Med Care Pharmacy in Conway. Before that, he served as a pharmacist for Marshall Medical Pharmacy in Marshall and Harvest Foods Pharmacy in Clinton.
“Eddie Glover has been a leader within his community as a pharmacist, within Arkansas as an entrepreneur, and within the national pharmacy field as a key player in sterile compounding and we are excited to see him continue the strong tradition of leadership that has been a hallmark of the Association,” said APA Executive Vice President and CEO Scott Pace.
Glover has served for the past year as APA Vice President. He previously served with the organization as APA Area 3 Representative and District 1 President.
He is a member of the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) and served on its Multi-Location Committee. Glover is also a member of the board of directors for the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists and Pharmacy Partners of America.
Glover was named NCPA “Pharmacist of the Year” in 2012. He serves on the Conway Chamber of Commerce and the Conway Development Corporation board of directors. He is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas and received his Pharmacy degree from the University of Oklahoma.
The Arkansas Pharmacists Association is a statewide professional association representing approximately 2,400 pharmacists in Arkansas.
