Little Rock-based Waymack & Crew has purchased M-3 Productions – a video, digital and audio studio – previously owned by the advertising agency CJRW. Terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.

CJRW developed M-3 Productions when it acquired Jones Video Production in 2007. Jones was founded by Gary Jones, who started the high-end video company in 1981. Dan Waymack, owner of Waymack & Crew, said he has been in negotiations with CJRW for several months and that M-3’s modern facilities will now be able to accommodate larger as well as more local projects.

“As my company has grown and expanded into other parts of the country, I recently realized how much of my Arkansas roots I was missing by spending a fair portion of my time outside of the state.” said Waymack. “Having the opportunity to acquire this world-class facility in my own backyard, featuring the very latest in technology, is a dream come-true for me.

“For nearly twenty years, many of the ad agencies for some of Arkansas’ most visible advertisers have hired me to direct TV commercials for several of their most important clients. Reflecting upon that makes me realize just how much I enjoyed working in my home state,” he said.

Waymack’s clients include Allstate Insurance, Ford Motor Company, the United States Army, Aleve, Kellogg’s and the PGA. In Arkansas, the firm has produced work for UAMS, Southland Gaming and Racing, Conway Regional Hospital, Arkansas Tech University, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, Arkansas Parks and Tourism, and Oaklawn Racing and Gaming.

Darin Gray, chairman and CEO of CJRW, said the sale of M-3 Productions is consistent with the agency’s long-term goals.

“This allows us to broaden the perspectives and creative talent we bring to bear when it comes to broadcast production. It also reflects our commitment to apply agency resources where there is the most client demand and growth potential,” Gray said.

“From our perspective, this gives the agency and our clients the best of both worlds,” said Gray. “On the one hand, we’ll continue to have access to the state’s top video and audio production facilities as well as the talented professionals of Waymack & Crew.”
