Steiling named to financial post at NEA Baptist Clinic

Diane Steiling has been selected as the new controller for NEA Baptist Clinic, officials with the medical group said Monday.

As controller, Steiling is responsible for the oversight and management of the financial and accounting functions for the clinic including the preparation of budgets, development and implementation of finance, accounting, payables and auditing procedures.

Steiling most recently was the executive vice president and chief financial officer at Heritage Bank (now Bear State Bank) in Jonesboro since 2005. Prior to her role at Heritage Bank, Steiling was as the vice president and controller at Regions Bank in Jonesboro, the audit department manager at Boatmen’s Bank in Jonesboro and an audit associate at Coopers & Lybrand in Memphis, Tenn.

“Diane Steiling joins NEA Baptist Clinic with years of experience and knowledge in the financial industry,” said Ben Barylske, chief financial officer of NEA Baptist Clinic, “Her professionalism and attention to detail will offer great value to our team.”

Steiling earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration-accounting from the University of Arkansas. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce.  She is a board member of The Women’s Discovery Center and the Better Life Counseling Center, a past-president of Habitat for Humanity and Leadership Link (class of 1995).

Diane and husband, Jeff Steiling (CahoonSteiling Architects) have two daughters.
