Fourth annual Arkansas legislative ‘Hoops for Kids’ Sake’ basketball game set for March 15
The 4th annual Arkansas legislative “Hoops for Kids’ Sake” charity basketball game will be held Tuesday, March 15 at 7 p.m. at the Jack Stephens Center on the campus of UALR. All proceeds will benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas (BBBSCA), Boys & Girls Club of Bryant, and Boys & Girls Club of Saline County.
General admission tickets for $10 will be available at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m. Sponsorships are $1,000. Celebrity players, coaches and special guests will be announced at a later date. The Arkansas House of Representatives (3-0) has won all three of the previous games over the Arkansas State Senate (0-3).
“As the undefeated three-time champions of the Hoops for Kids Sake trophy, we are looking forward to our fourth straight victory,” said Arkansas House Speaker Jeremy Gillam, R-Judsonia. “But as much as we enjoy beating the Senate, we know the biggest victory is raising money for these organizations that do so much for our youth.”
“The opportunity to support these kids is something that always gets the Senate players excited to play hard,” said Senate President Tempore Jonathan Dismang. “This year is a must-win game for us, so don’t be surprised to see some new moves and additions from our side.”
