Destin-Ft. Walton newest nonstop flight out of Little Rock
Just in time for summer vacation planning, Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport announced new nonstop service from Little Rock to Destin-Ft. Walton on regional air service provider GLO. Shane Carter, spokesperson for the airport, said this is the perfect alternative for families who want to avoid a nine-hour drive for vacation.
“It’s a perfect way to get away to the white sand beaches of Destin, have a lot of family fun, and get there and back very quickly,” said Carter.
The flights will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday from March 25 through Labor Day. The airline is offering introductory online “GLOForIt” fares of $149 oneway.
While enplanement numbers of the state’s largest airport have been declining for the past several years, Shane Carter said officials are looking for more options for Central Arkansas travelers. This is an expansion of service for the startup public charter service in Central Arkansas. Late last year, GLO began nonstop service to New Orleans from Little Rock. The airport now offers 15 nonstop destinations. GLO operates out of New Orleans, Little Rock, Memphis, and Shreveport.
