CHI St. Vincent, HealthSouth building new rehab center in Hot Springs
CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs and HealthSouth Corporation are planning a 40-bed hospital in Hot Springs in the third quarter of this year, a joint press release said.
The two entities are now operating the CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of HealthSouth. The 27-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit is temporarily located at the CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs hospital.
The new hospital will provide rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, traumas, brain injuries, complex orthopedic conditions and other illnesses an injuries.
The new facility is HealthSouth’s fifth inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Arkansas. The others are St. Vincent Rehabilitation Hospital in Sherwood; HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Jonesboro, a joint venture with St. Bernards Healthcare; HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Fayetteville, a joint venture with Washington Regional; and HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Smith.
