Bourbon & Boots announces wholesale division
Online retailer Bourbon & Boots has launched a wholesale division to distribute its Southern-branded merchandise to specialty retailers across the country, the company said in a news release.
The wholesale division was launched 60 days ago and presently distributes 200 private label Bourbon & Boots branded products to approximately 20 specialty retailers across eight states.
The Arkansas-based company expects the wholesale division to grow significantly with a 2016 target of 300 specialty retail shop resellers, it said. Jennifer Cooney, VP of Merchandising & Customer Service, will manage the wholesale division.
“The vision for Bourbon & Boots since our acquisition eight months ago was to transform it from a small peer-to-peer artisan marketplace to a national lifestyle brand, capitalizing on the international infatuation of the southern lifestyle,” said Rod Ford, founder and managing partner of xCelerate Capital and chairman of Bourbon and Boots. “Creating retail distribution for our branded merchandise is the next progression in our strategy map of building an internationally significant lifestyle brand.”
“Over the past year we’ve been able to design, procure, and source over 200 Bourbon & Boots private label products, which represents about 30% of all the SKU’s in our inventory. Our merchandising goal is to rapidly evolve to a point where the vast majority of the orders we ship each day is our own private label,” he said.
