Arvest Ballpark announce plans for new HD video scoreboard
Arvest Ballpark in Springdale will install a new LED High Density video scoreboard expected to enhance the fan-experience when the park opens in April to begin its ninth season.
Arvest Ballpark is the home of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, the Double-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, owned by former Wal-Mart CEO David Glass.
Ballpark officials said the upgrade will feature an active display area approximately 16.8 feet tall and 66 feet wide, which is larger than the 15.75 feet wide by 29 feet tall video score board now used.
The new scoreboard also offers higher resolution viewing moving from 16mm 300×552 right now to 13mm 392×1540 when the new board is installed. The new higher resolution combined with a new fully encapsulated module design and brighter display image will offer fans crisp, clear imagery no matter where your seat is located at the ballpark, officials noted in the release.
“We are very excited to be able to continue our relationship with the Naturals and the City of Springdale. We look forward to installing the new video display and enhancing the fan experience at Arvest Ballpark,” said Perry Grave with Daktronics, maker of the new video scoreboard.
