NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital hires new director of radiology

Andrea Simpson, a tenured employee of 11 years, has been named the new director of radiology for NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Simpson is a native of Jonesboro and 2005 graduate of Arkansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences and a minor in healthcare management. She began at NEA Baptist in 2004 as a student technologist and was promoted, most recently serving as radiology manager since 2011.

Simpson is registered through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with advanced registries in computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging.

“Andrea has been radiology manager for almost 5 years and will be an excellent director. I am very proud of her career development and her continued leadership towards improving healthcare for our patients,” said Melanie Edens, assistant administrator of NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital.

NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital is a 216-bed acute care facility in Jonesboro and is affiliated with Memphis-based Baptist Health Care Corporation.
