BNSF Logistics moves into new NWA headquarters

BNSF Logistics has been located in Springdale for nearly two decades but the subsidiary of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Rail Road recently moved into a new Northwest headquarters located at 2710 S. 48th St., facing I-49 in Springdale.

The new site has 30,000-square-feet and employs 185 people, with the capacity of 225 employees amid the next few years, the company noted in a release.

“We are thrilled with our new space and excited to be part of this growing area,” said Dan Curtis, BNSF Logistics chief operating officer. “This top-notch facility and prime location will help our team continue to provide the reliable, efficient service our customers have come to expect,” said Curtis.

He said the Springdale operations primarily focuses on trucking and rail services. The new larger location also allows for the combination of the subsidiary company’s information technology and human resource divisions which were previously operating in separate offices.

A public grand opening/ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Dec. 3.
