Walmart Canada and 7-Eleven Canada are joining forces to do an e-commerce pilot delivery project in the Toronto area, according to Canadian media.

The retail giant will place its delivery lockers in select 7-Eleven stores. The lockers will allow online shoppers at Walmart.ca to pick up their orders at one of six convenience stores operated around the clock by 7-Eleven.

This is an extension of a Walmart locker service located at Wal-Mart’s corporate offices in Toronto and Kapuskasing, Onterio.

If an online shopper chooses delivery to a locker they will be sent an email containing a six-digit code that remains valid for seven days.

The companies say their pilot project will run six months at certain 7-Eleven stores in Brampton, Burlington, Toronto, Mississauga and Vaughan.
